Now for the month of hearts, it would be great to look into the love story of a couple from MEA batch 2013 and be inspired by their tale! Let’s hear it from Mika Suansing and Anjo Castelo, a T3 couple.
Cam and Delfin : Hi! Good morning! Game! Question number 1! How did you guys Meet?

Mika and Anjo *whispering to each other*

Anjo: May isang guy na nag-introduce samin, kahit na blockmates kami, I didn’t know her really.

Mika: Hindi kasi, we were blockmates, tapos so may Intact that day, tapos nung the next day, nagkita kami sa gym, kasama si *person*, magkasama sila ni *person*, tapos nag-hi siya sakin tapos inintroduce ni *person* na parang “Hey diba ba blockmate mo to” then I told him like “Ah okay you’re my blockmate!”

C and D: So hindi mo alam na blockmate mo si Anjo?!

Anjo: Sakin alam ko siya as the other pisay girl with red hair. Haha. kasi tatlong girls, si Carmel, si Kat, tapos siya.

C and D: So parang the first time you saw each other, was there something na?

Mika: What? Wala. Hahaha joke lang! pero kasi wala talaga, but siya kasi yung guy who could walk as fast as I can to class, so nagiging kasabay ko siya.

C and D: So pano nagdevelop from that?

Anjo: wala… talking. Talking kunwari sa math, or sa physics, mga ganun.

Mika: or lagi niya ako sinusundo sa PE kasi magkatabi court namin sa PE.

C and D: Ahhhh, so anyway! What’s the sweetest thing you’ve done for each other? :>

Anjo: ako yung ano, nung ginawan ko siya nung flowers for her birthday. Sakin kahit pangit yung presentation, yun yung pinakabinigyan ko ng effort. As in dalawang araw ako nagcucut ng flowers tapos iniikot ko. Yung yung sa picture mo sa facebook! Hahaha!

Mika: I don’t have to be the one naman talaga to do it diba! Pero siguro ano, nung debut ko, siya yung 18th rose ko, and like until that point, you remember three year guy? And G*** *****, tapos nandun si G***. Diba 18 yun? Tapos sabi ng party organizer kasi hawa niya yung blue rose (kasi lahat ng 17 white rose, tapos si 18th blue rose), tapos si Anjo nun natatawa siya kasi Anjo was, the whole time, he was trying to grab the blue rose. Kasi inaassume niya na siya yung 18th. Tapos up until that point, yun dun niya lang nalaman. Tapos ang ganda pa ng sinabi ni G*** sa kaniya. Ano, “Whatever my number is, your’e after me.”

C and D: So ano plano niyo for Valentine’s!!!

Mika: Siya mag-aaral siya coz may Eco LT siya. Tapos may accounting case ako sa 15, so hahaha!

C and D: you can study together! Hahaha! Lagi ba kayong nagstustudy together?

Mika and Anjo: We never study together. Ever.

C and D: never kayo naguusap about acads?

Anjo: Ah, that’s different.

Mika: He talks to be about acads and I’m like “stop it!”

C and D: laging nagrarant si Anjo?

Anjo: hindi! Baliktad. Siya lagi nagrarant. Hahaha!

C and D: parents! Parents-wise. Balita namin approve na raw ah? :>

Mika: hahaha! Eh kasi ewan ko, it’s gonna be weird to divulge it, but one of my premises before saying “yes” to him was that he has to personally ask my dad and ask for “my hand.” So ayun, he did it before.

C and D: ayiii!!! Pano? Expound expound!

Mika: O go anjo!

Anjo: basta yun, sa isang party nung December ata, tapos kinausap kami nung sabay eh. May speech pa siya’t lahat.

C and D: ano yung speech???

Mika: parang ano ba yung difference kung kayo at hindi kayo? Like, bakit kailangan maging kayo? Ang hirap ng tanong diba!

C and D: anong sagot ni Anjo?

Anjo: Hindi sabi naming pareho parang different parin na kami na. Parang kahit na pareho lang yung perks samin, like ganito yung puwede mo gawin o ganiyan, parang different parin na kami na talaga. Ano sasabihin namin sa mga tao, parang “ah we’re parang ganito…”?

C and D: ah… sumasama ba kayo sa family dinners and stuff?

Mika: Ah always! Last Friday nga lang eh!

C and D: ng both families?!

Anjo: Ah hindi! Haha.

Mika: Either, or!

C and D: Ahhh okay! So what’s the farthest place na napuntahan ninyo na together kayo?

Anjo: Nueva Ecija!

Mika: Oo Nueva Ecija! Actually yung pinaka-ok dun was that he went all the way to Nueva Ecija to attend my mom’s inauguration. Like part of the family na! haha.

C and D: okay next question! Random question: kung pipili kayo… thin and long, or short and stout? And why?

Mika: I’d go for thin and long… kasi if it’s a bridge, like I’m a daredevil by… nature, so I’d rather cross a bridge that’s thin and long.

Anjo: Ako thin and long din, kasi parang I’d rather na parang kunwari may dinadaanan ka, mas naeenjoy mo yung travel…

C and D: Wait lang just in case lang! Ilang anak ang gusto niyo…?

Mika: We talked about this!

C and D: WHOOOOA PINAGUSAPAN!

Anjo: hindi kasi kinukuwento ko sa kaniya na yung mga first cousins ko, 70 kaming first cousins! So parang sinabi niya na parang “okay hindi tayo lalampas ng…” I don’t remember!

Mika: ay hindi we didn’t talk about number! Basta yung diniscuss naming na dapat panganay boy… tapos girl.

C and D: so dalawa?

Mika: kailangan may boy! Kasi all boys sila, tapos all girls kami, so parang may balance.

C and D: so ilan nga? You won’t stop till you get a boy???

Anjo: basta maximum four! Hahaha!

C and D: pinagusapan niyo na ba ever name ng anak ninyo?

Anjo: actually wala pa akong masiyadong input dun… haha! Ano yun, xerxes?

Mika: Xerxes Cleisthenes!

C and D: bakit!!!

Anjo: hindi bagay sa name! haha pero… okay!

Mika: actually kahit maging boy siya or girl, yan din yung name niya… pag boy, xerx and nickname niya, pag girl, ixie!

C and D: why, where did this come from?

Mika: Kasi ano, nung fourth year parang nagdidiscuss kami ng Roman history and Persian Empire and my teacher wrote down Xerxes and I was like “oooh nice!” tapos puwede siyang gawin boy or girl.

C and D: Sino usually under or over sa relationship? Or sa certain stuff?

*Mika and Anjo whispering and hesitating*

Anjo: o sige… under ako

Mika: oi hindi kaya! Hindi siguro kasi it seems like he’s under kasi strong yung personality ko, pero I think siya. Kasi I actually told my sister this, na I didn’t expect na a guy would ever be able to…

Anjo: handle me.

Mika: hindi! HAHA kasi pinaguusapan naming na pag maging kami na, magiging either pacifist ako or siya ang magiging aggressive, pero like nag-balance out, so like equal.

C and D: what changed since it became you?

Mika and Anjo: wala parin…

C and D: o ito, if you were to choose one best physical feature of your partner, what would it be and why? Just one!

Anjo: Hair… kasi parang yun yung unang nakaka-catch ng attention. Tapos nagbubuo yung look.

Mika: ako siguro, eyes. Kasimay mga nagsabi samin na we have the same eyes, I dunno if it’s true! I refuse to believe! Hahaha!

C and D: okay message nalang to all! All aspiring lovers! Hahaha!

Mika: ikaw una! Haha

Anjo: puwedeng pagisipan muna? Haha.

C and D: short lang! Puwedeng advise or whatever.

Mika: Ako, never settle. I mean never settle for someone na, kasi like before like he may be like the richest, most guwapo guy in the universe but if he cannot make you happy, and there’s this part for you that’s still looking for this happiness, if he cannot supply this happiness, then parang never settle for that.

C and D: naks! O Anjo?

Anjo: Be open. Like lahat naman tayo may ideals, pero parang ano, at the end of the day if this person always makes you happy, parang yun na. So always be open to others, tapos don’t judge. There’s always a chance.  :)
